Title:  Developing high performance energy storage mateirals by multi-scale scheme
Abstract:
Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have been widely applied in electric vehicles and portable electronic devices, however, applications of liquid electrolytes (LE) in LIBs lead to serious safety concerns due to leakage and flammability of liquid electrolytes. All-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) are considered as the most promising next-generation energy storage technology, exhibiting higher safety and energy density compared to liquid electrolytes-based LIBs. In this talk, we propose some recent progress on novel multi-scale computational strategy for achieving effective and efficient screening high performance energy storage materials. We demonstrate the reliability of the proposed methods for evaluating electrochemical performance of the materials. The multi-scale scheme provides a basis to understand the storage mechanism in nanoscale, and offers critical information on design and preparation precesses.
