Abstract:
According to customer-oriented and excellence-oriented concepts, the excellent quality management model is an effective approach for optimizing the comprehensive performance management of healthcare organizations. The excellent quality management model is based on evaluating the performance of various organizations by applying qualitative and quantitative criteria for evaluation. The purpose of this article is to explore the healthcare excellent quality management model, reference and quote the Japan Deming-Prize, the European Foundation for Quality Management, and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Under the guidance of an excellent quality management model, a healthcare organization can pursue high-quality management, continuously solidify the core competitiveness, and promote high-quality development. The innovative healthcare excellent quality management (HEQMM) proposed in this article can be used to improve management performance and provide patients with the highest quality of healthcare services. |
Biography:
Dr. Wang is a Fellow of American College Healthcare Executive and Distinguished Professor of School of Health Policy and Management at Peking Union Medical College (PUMC ranked Top one medical school in China). His major areas of research include leadership and healthcare management.
Dr. Wang earned certificates from Harvard and Oxford Universities in Leadership and a PhD in Healthcare Management from Virginia Commonwealth University (ranked Top 5 healthcare management programs in the USA) and MBA in Finance from NTU (ranked Top 1 business school in Taiwan). Prior to joining PUMC, he has taught at the St. Louis University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Asia University, Macau University Science and Technology, and he had outstanding teaching and research awards in the US Universities.
Dr. Wang is a well-known professor in Chinese Healthcare Society and Healthcare Industry. He has served as chairman and a keynote speaker at influential healthcare forums and conferences worldwide in over 15 countries. Dr. Wang has published over 70 articles in the Scientific Reports, Journal of Healthcare Management, International Journal of Public Policy, and other academic journals. His research has been covered extensively by major US, Austria, Macau, and China news media.
