Title: From Micro to Nano; Application horizon towards Environment Monitoring
Abstract:
Now a days, increasing environmental pollution is the biggest issue worldwide because it is causing irretrievable damage to the earth. Therefore, it is imperative to develop robust sensors that can be used to assess the status of environmental conditions. In this regard, micro-nano materials with great physical and chemical characteristics are potential candidates to produce novel environmental monitoring sensors with good selectivity, sensitivity and stability. A variety of materials in their micro and nano forms such as metal organic frameworks, carbon nanotubes, graphite, metal nanoparticles and 2 D materials etc. are employed to develop different type of sensors with miniatured size that can be used in the field to monitor the quality of air, water and soil. These materials possess huge potential to replace the current monitoring techniques which are highly expensive and time consuming.
