Title: Electricity using Nanomaterials
Abstract:
Electricity from waste heat or temperature gradient is among the cleanest form of energy. The best performance can be achieved using efficient thermoelectric materials with high thermoelectric figure of merit ZT = (S2σ/κ)T, where S is the thermo-electric voltage, σ is the electrical conductivity, κ the thermal conductivity and T the temperature. Recent findings have proven it to be possible using nanostructured thermoelectric materials. These aspects shall be discussed in brief in this talk.
