Title: The experiences in Alternative State Quarantine for CIVID-19, as the Perception of Thai Nurses
Abstract: 
This qualitative research were to define the meaning of alternative state quarantine (ASQ) for COVID-19, and to depict the process as well as outcomes of the quarantine.  The 20 professional  nurses of a leading private hospital in Bangkok are the purposive sample, who attended the ASQ at 5 qualified hotels in Bangkok. The experiences of participation in ASQ of sample were the period of July – October, 2020.  As the epidemiology of COVID-19 in Thailand since January, 2020.  The Thai government as well as all levels of health personal has been well cooperated in order to utilize the prevention and controlling of the COVID-19.  Up to the date of 28 October, 2020, Thailand has 3,759 case infected with 59 deaths.  Whereas the number of worldwide contagious is over 40 million with more than 1 million deaths. The results of the in-depth interviews with participated observation and content analysis were performed, as follows; 
1) The meaning of ASQ: Assisting in caring those risk for COVID-19, according to the criteria of Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) by volunteer nurses.  The benefits are new dimensions in terms of new experiences, new knowledges and more incomes.  
2) The process of ASQ includes:
2.1 Training the ASQ nurse according to the guideline of the MOPH.
2.2 Beginning prior to stay in the hotel, the nurse performs the following:
-Screens the travelers by taking health and personal history, as well as the vital signs. 
-Physical check up include the nasal swab on Day 0, 5 and 14.
-Surveillance for 14 days.
-Communicates with the client through appropriate IT devices.
-Provide health education as needed.
2.3 Monitoring the environments for healthy safety, with necessary advice and follow up the  hotel’s personnel.
3)  Some issues in terms of communication, and infection control measures need for continuing  and more clarification. 
 

The recommendation and implication are 1) The ASQ strategy must be continuous until the effective of vaccine and medicine existed.  However, daily living of new normal for all people and all activities should be highly concerns internationally.  The support countries are needed to underserve countries in order to worldwide prevention and control of the COVID-19.
